Csilla Szabo, the artist behind Boki, creates ethereal, emotionally charged paintings that reflect the beauty of resilience, renewal, and quiet transformation.
Her work is a celebration of light and softness, portraying both the vulnerability and strength of the human experience.
Working primarily with acrylic paint, Csilla also brings depth and nuance to her pieces by incorporating ink and oil pastels, embracing their fluidity and expressive textures. Each medium she chooses serves as a language for emotion—layered, raw, and tender.

The name Boki is deeply personal, inspired by Csilla’s grandmother. It’s a constant reminder of the love, creativity, and courage passed down through generations.
Csilla’s art career was launched in the UK in 2020, where she developed her unique artistic voice and built a loyal following. Over the past few years, she also launched and ran a sustainable design brand, collaborated with UK-based retailers, illustrated a book, and managed business partnerships with organisations such as the Ad:Venture business programme, and have been working closely with Instagram as part of their first ever Mentorship Award. Since January 2023, her primary focus has been on painting.
In September 2024, Csilla relocated to Budapest, bringing her brand Boki—a one-person artistic journey—to new horizons.
She now pursues her passion as a full-time artist. Her artworks can be viewed at her home and studio in Budapest.
In addition to her painting practice, Csilla organises healing creative workshops where she uses different mediums, colours, and techniques to help participants connect with their suppressed emotions and heal their inner child.
